If These Floors Could Talk: Garden Gab

Hello Darling,

We turned our focus outward this month towards the surrounding landscape of our house. The most refreshing part of it all was spending a week without technology. Working outside and in the dirt felt so grounding.

We planted new flowers and bushes after spending the first few days ripping out everything we could. The amount of foliage that we got rid of was daunting.

After having to get a new car, we had to re-evaluate our savings and tweak it for the best options for us. We decided to invest first into the exterior of the home before renovating inside. Hopefully we can get more projects done before the summer comes and goes. Our next landscape demolition is the removal of four small trees, although we’ll be bringing in the professionals for that task.

I’ve been so busy with work and tackling what projects we can with what little time off we have that I haven’t been able to fully update and maintain a steady blog lately. As refreshing as it is without technology, I feel as though I’ve given myself the short stick when it comes to writing. Nevertheless, the script will be completed soon and I cannot wait to get the publishing process going!
